Prop P: Promise, purpose, and progress for our students

{Jan. 22, 2020} ARNOLD, MO – On Tuesday, January 21, 2020, the Fox C-6 Board of Education voted unanimously to place a $40 million zero-tax rate increase bond on the April 7, 2020 ballot. The bond issue, titled Proposition P: Promise, Purpose, & Progress for our Students, will address the district’s facility needs.

During the December 17, 2020 Board of Education Meeting, Scott Barbagallo, Director of Facilities, presented the Board with findings from recent building visits conducted throughout the school year. District administrators have worked with building principals to determine each building’s top facility needs.

“Projects we are hoping to complete as a result of Proposition P will allow us to make necessary facility upgrades that directly impact our students, staff and community,” said Dr. Nisha Patel, Fox C-6 Superintendent.

District administration presented a proposal to the Board of Education that includes constructing new classrooms at Antonia Elementary, Meramec Heights Elementary, and Fox High School. Additionally, safety and security upgrades at all schools, upgraded science labs in middle and high schools, and playground upgrades at elementary schools were proposed.

“This Board and Administration are dedicated to passing this bond issue. Our community deserves it,” said Carole Yount, Fox C-6 Board of Education President. “We are zeroing in on things that make the biggest difference for our kids,” Yount continued.
