It looks like perfect weather for the Fox Trot, a 5K and 1-mile fun run and walk to be held Saturday morning at Arnold City Park on Bradley Beach Road, off Jeffco Boulevard near the Meramec River. Organizers are still seeking participants.

The 5K will begin at 9 a.m. and the 1-mile at 10 a.m. Entry is $25 for the 5K and $10 for the 1-mile. Proceeds will benefit the C-6 Educational Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides educational and welfare grants to help students throughout the Fox C-6 School District.

A $100 cash prize and trophy will go to the top female and the top male winners in the 5K. The top three finishers in each category in the 5K will receive a medal. In addition, participants will get a shirt, goody bag and free water and snacks. The Fox district school with the largest number of students, staff, parents and others at the event will be awarded a $500 educational grant.

Members of the We Are One Community Choir will sing the national anthem, and a small group of Seckman High School band students will play music. The Texas Roadhouse in Arnold and Noodles & Co. in south St. Louis County will hand out samples at the event, and Kona Ice and Steamroller Bagel and Deli food trucks will be on hand selling tasty treats. There also will be raffles, and the Arnold Police Department will have a representative at the event to visit with participants. Fleet Feet St. Louis is handling online registration and chip timing for the 5K. Don’t miss out on the chance to have some fun, get some exercise and help out a good cause in the process.

To register online, go to fleetfeetstlouis.com/racing/highlighted-races/fox-trot. People also may sign up at the packet pickup, to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the Fox C-6 Service Center, 849 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold, or before the race on Saturday.
