{July 17, 2017} IMPERIAL, MO – Fox C-6 has a proud tradition of strong band programs. This month, several students were recognized for their outstanding musical and leadership abilities that reflect on the quality of band programs offered by Fox and Seckman High Schools.

Nathan Lee, was selected to the 2017 National Honor Band (through the National Association for Music Education). The event will be held at the Coronado Resort at Disney in Orlando, FL Nov. 26-29, 2017.

Additionally, Nathan was selected to the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra where he will play alongside 2016 Seckman High School graduate, Philip Gurt AND will join three other SHS students (Brittany O'Reilly (12)- drums, Kendal Blumenthal (11)- sax, Allen Reed (12)- trumpet) in the 2017-2018 Jazz U Program sponsored by Jazz St. Louis (Jazz at the Bistro).   

Jaguar Pride Drum Majors Kendal Blumenthal (11) and Callisa Coleman(11) attended the prestigious Smith-Walbridge drum major camp and their squad (6 students) won Outstanding Squad of the Week among 40 groups.

“This has been a great summer for band students,” said Seckman High Director of Bands Ben Middleton. “Our students are amazing and we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments.”
