Superintendent’s Remarks



Fox C-6 Superintendent, Dr. Paul Fregeau, attended his first Board of Education meeting as superintendent. Dr. Fregeau shared his goals as superintendent that were developed in partnership with the Board of Education during a Board of Education retreat on July 12-13.


Superintendent Goals:


  1. Benchmark student achievement

  2. Promote a positive culture and climate across the district

  3. Develop a proactive communication plan for all facets of the Fox C-6 Family

  4. Develop a five-year budget plan to address future needs

Information Items

Missouri School Board Association Annual Conference

The Board discussed who would represent Fox C-6 at the annual Missouri School Board Association (MSBA) Annual Conference in November. Any Board member, the Board secretary, Superintendent, and CFO are eligible to attend. After discussion, <NAMES> volunteered to attend and report to the rest of the Board members what they learned. Board Approvals

Approve Meal Prices for 2021-2022


The Board of Education voted to approve meal prices for the 2021-2022 school year. Even though Fox C-6 has received a USDA waiver to feed all children free of charge, the district is still required to complete a price equity tool and approve meal prices. After completing the price equity tool, student meal prices increased by $0.10.Use THIS LINK to review the full approval. 


Jefferson County Sheriff's School Resource Officer


The Board of Education voted to approve a contract renewal with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office to assign one officer to the District to serve as a School Resource Officer. Use THIS LINK to review the full approval. 


ALC (Alternative Transportation) Contract Amendment


The Board of Education voted to approve a contract renewal with the ALC to provide transportation to and from school for homeless and foster-care students. Use THIS LINK to review the full approval. 


MOU with the University of Missouri - St. Louis


The Board of Education voted to approve a memorandum of understanding with the University of Missouri - St. Louis to place student teachers in Fox C-6 schools. Use THIS LINK to review the full approval. 


Professional Services Relating to Visually Impaired Students


The Board of Education voted to renew contracts with two service providers to provide service to visually impaired students. Fox C-6 does not currently have enough K-12 students who are visually impaired to hire a fulltime certified staff member. Use THIS LINK and THIS LINK to review the full approval. 


Program for Exceptionally Gifted Students (PEGS)


The Board of Education voted to approve an agreement for services contract for PEGS (Program or Exceptionally Gifted Students) students for the 2021-2022 school year. PEGS is a regional program that operates out of the Lindbergh School District. A total of six students from Fox C-6 qualify for PEGS. Use THIS LINK to review the full approval. 


Contract for Courier Service

The Board of Education voted to approve a contract with Brinks to provide bank courier service to the district's new banking depository. Use THIS LINK to review the full approval. 

Chromebook Purchase

The Board of Education voted to approve the purchase of 1,900 Chromebooks to be deployed to students in sixth and ninth grades as part of the annual replacement cycle for 1:1. Sixth grade students will use the devices for three years and ninth grade students will use them for four years. Use THIS LINK to review the full approval. 

Convection Oven Purchase

The Board of Education voted to approve the purchase of four double-stack convection ovens to replace failed or failing equipment at Fox High School, Guffey Elementary, and Seckman High School. Use THIS LINK to review the full approval. 

Guffey Playground Bid

The Board of Education voted to approve a bid from All Inclusive Rec to install a new playground at Guffey Elementary. This project will be funded by a donation from McBride Construction and Prop P funds.  Use THIS LINK to review the full approval. 

Antonia Elementary and Meramec Heights Elementary Prop P Projects 

The Board of Education voted to approve a bid from SM Wilson to build the additions to Antonia Elementary and Meramec Heights Elementary, as well as HVAC work at Meramec Heights Elementary and a bid from Automatic Control Equipment Systems for HVAC controls at Meramec Heights Elementary. These projects are estimated to be completed by March 31, 2023. All three projects are being funded by Prop P funds.  Use THIS LINK to review the full approval. 

Antonia Elementary Change Orders

The Board of Education voted to approve two change orders at Antonia Elementary for the current renovation project. Both change orders are being funded by Prop P funds.  Use THIS LINK and THIS LINK to review the full approvals.

Board Policy Adoption/Revision 


The Board of Education voted to accept 12 Board policy revisions for a first reading. These policies will be brought to the Board for a second reading and adoption at the August 17, 2021 meeting. Use THIS LINK to review the full approval.
