Board Approvals

myON Online Reading Database

The Board of Education voted to approve the purchase of myON reader for 7 elementary schools for the 2020-2021 school year. myON Reader is a digital reading resource that provides access to 7,00 digital books on a variety of topics and reading levels. Click here for the full approval. 

Dreambox Online Math Resource

The Board of Education voted to approve the purchase of Dreambox for 8 elementary schools for the 2020-2021 school year. Dreambox is an online math resource that was piloted in the 2019-2020 school year. Click here for the full approval. 

Newsela Pro Online Database for ELA

The Board of Education voted to approve the purchase of Newsela Pro for all middle schools for the 2020-2021 school year. NewselaPro is a digital library of magazine and newspaper articles that provides 12 versions of each article on different reading levels. Teachers have been utilizing the free version of Newsela for several years. Click here for the full approval. 

No Red Ink Online Resource for ELA

The Board of Education voted to approve the purchase of NoRedInk for all middle school ELA classes. NoRedInk is an instructional resource that provides a pre-test of grammar skills and individualized practice. middle school ELA teachers have been using the free version of this resource extensively. Donations to the School District

The Board of Education approved the acceptance of six donations to the Fox School District. 

  • $7,658 for unpaid meal balances at Seckman Middle School

  • $5,738 for 425 wobble cushions at Sherwood Elementary

  • $2,006 for unpaid meal balances at Sherwood Elementary

  • $500 for headphones and mice at Antonia Elementary

  • $500 for 5th grade teachers at Guffey Elementary

  • $100 for unpaid meal balances at Rockport Heights Elementary
