Rockport Heights Elementary Supplies List 2009 - 2010
Kindergarten
There is a $12.00 fee for supplies. The fee includes scissors, glue, markers, crayons, paper
and their parent communication folder. This may be paid at Open House or the first week
of school. Students will also need 1 family size box of Kleenex, 1 pencil box, 1 pack dry
erase markers and a Kinder mat for quiet time. No towels or blankets. Kinder mats are plastic coated and can be wiped off. PLEASE NO BACKPACKS WITH WHEELS.
First Grade

Students will need pencil box, 2 family size boxes of Kleenex, disinfectant wipes and/or hand sanitizer, backpack (PLEASE NO WHEELS) 2 spiral notebooks, 2-two pocket folders (PLEASE NO TRAPPER KEEPERS, MARKERS OR GLUE STICKS).
Second Grade
2 boxes of 10 #2 pencils, scissors, erasers, crayons, white glue, 1 family size box of Kleenex, 1 roll of paper towels, 1 –two pocket folder, 1 pencil box, 1 container of Clorox wipes and a backpack. (PLEASE NO RULERS, NO NOTEBOOKS OR BINDERS, NO MARKERS!
Third Grade
1 small 8 ½” X 5”pencil box, white glue, scissors, #2 pencils, erasers, box of 24 crayons, 6- 2 pocket folders, 1 spiral notebook, loose-leaf paper wide-ruled, dry erase board (no larger than 8 1/2 by 11 in), dry erase markers. PLEASE NO TRAPPER KEEPERS OR 3 RING BINDERS, NO INK PENS! They will need an assignment notebook and it can be purchased from your teacher. Check with individual teachers for additional items.
Fourth Grade
8 pocket folders, wide lined loose leaf paper, crayons, wide ruled spiral notebooks, #2 pencils with erasers (no mechanical pencils), 12 in/centimeter ruler, white glue, 2 boxes of Kleenex tissue, box of Expo dry erase markers (no low odor-must be original ink only), dry erase marker eraser, red pens, scissors
Disinfectant wipes and/ or hand sanitizer, an assignment notebook (available at school from STUCO for $4.00) Check with individual teachers for any additional items if needed.
Fifth Grade
White wide lined loose leaf paper (NO college rule!), #2 pencils with erasers (no mechanical pencils), small box crayons, markers, colored pencils, small bottle white glue, stick glue, small pair of scissors, 12 in/centimeter ruler, plastic protractor, 2 boxes family size Kleenex, 2 composition notebooks, roll of paper towels, ink pens, 1-red, 1 blue and 1 black, 4 – two pocket folders any color, 1 container disinfectant wipes (bleach-free), dry erase markers, and antibacterial hand sanitizer, assignment notebook (Rockport STUCO sell them for $4.00)
Sixth Grade
Accordion folder, white lined loose leaf paper, crayons, markers/colored pencils, glue, scissors, ruler, #2 pencils, ink pens (no red), 1 spiral notebook for Math, one 4 pack of Expo dry erase markers, 1 calculator (This can be bought at the dollar store). BOYS- 3 boxes of tissue and 2 containers of Clorox wipes. GIRLS- 2 paper towels, and 2 bottles of antibacterial hand sanitizer. OPTIONAL- 1 small bag individually wrapped hard candy. PLEASE NO TRAPPER KEEPERS.
Art:
2nd grade - #2 pencils (6)
3rd grade - black permanent ink sharpies – medium point (3)
4th grade - 1 artist stretched canvas 16” x 20”. Usually sold in a 2 pack for about $3.00 to $5.00 each. Look for sales or coupons at Michaels, Hobby-Lobby or Wal-Mart.
5th grade - black permanent ink sharpies – medium point (3)
6th grade - 2 each white vinyl erasers – Magic Rub brand, etc.
Music:
3rd grade - $5.00 for a recorder
4th grade - Bring your recorder from last year or $5.00 for a new one
PE:
1st grade - 1 box of Kleenex (to be shared with Music & Art)
All grades must wear tennis shoes for Gym days. NO Bar lacing, NO skate board or flat bottom shoes and NO heely shoes (skate shoe)
